Anna is a multimedia artist specialising in analogue photography and intuitive walking storytelling. Her background is in architectural design, and in 2023, she completed a Master's degree program in Fine Art Photography at Bath Spa University.
Anna's work explores psychological and historical narratives of space through the lens of a vintage camera. Film photography brings an element of unpredictability and imperfection into an image, creating a philosophical scaffolding for colour, balance and shape. The use of legacy technology creates the sense of continuity of time and evolution of the psyche into collective narratives, highlighting the fact that the visions of the world do not necessarily match with actualised reality in the future.
Anna's main artistic goal is to draw new visions using the language of the material and process to discover the stories and resolutions contained within them. Walking, observing, experimenting with surfaces, light and flexibility of materials like aluminium and fabric, she is capturing the process, the development of an idea within space, tracing memories and visualising the untold stories.
Provoking thought and stimulating conversation on challenging subjects like collective and generational trauma, collective intelligence, feminism, she is exploring the ideas of collective emotional body and healing through artistic practice.
