We came together for this performative collaboration to explore our boundaries and find new creative possibilities that emerge when individual artworks are fragmented, either by design or intentional deconstruction. The idea was to create an exhibition as a group art piece, going through potentially conflicting situations to make it into a connected display.
The performance was accompanied by live music that responded to the actions of artists and at the same time created a sense of dance-like flow.
The group intelligence at its best, harmonizing everything: ceramic fragmented sculpture, a smashed vase, gigantic blood clots connected with red wool, a fire pit that was quickly filled up with various fragments to be burned, wire and fabric silhouettes and figures, odd pieces.
It was an exciting and new experience and will be repeated in July slightly differently for a public exhibition that will include a time-lapse video of the performance projected to the wall.
I am looking forward to it!
