Does the story tell us more than meets the eye?

Does the narrator always tell their own story?

I must tell you what to think, otherwise you may come up with your own line.

And then the story will become yours. Not mine.

I'll tell you a sketch.

I will paint the ending.

Abstractly representing the only truth that I feel.

Why, why on earth?

So that you can see it.
